London SE6

Let it swing. A South London Victorian is home to swinging utility doors (why exactly are they so fun?) and a unique take on a peninsula, which had to accommodate steps down into the living area. A skylight splashes the space in the afternoon sun and this, we think, adds SO much to the atmosphere. The client and team at BS worked hard to gather all the working and serving elements of the kitchen together and allow for some useful touches too, like the stools that tuck under the worktop for seating and the open storage in a contrasting colour, (which acts as a bar too).
Decorative elements? Ebay and vintage markets, of course. Eyes wide open when designing a kitchen because those finds are what add the charm.
