To Build this Kitchen
Total Cost for this kitchen
Plain English wants everybody who appreciates good design and properly made joinery to be able to afford it. By taking out the bespoke design service, the delivery and the fitting and by keeping the number of items available relatively small and of standard sizes, it is now possible to enjoy Plain English quality at British Standard prices.
The kitchen cupboards come undercoated in ‘Broken White’ eggshell and without ironmongery as standard.
The cupboard facades are made from poplar, with the exception of the central door panel which is mdf. The carcass is white melamine faced European birch ply with solid beech shelf lippings. Each floor cupboard has one midway shelf and each wall cupboard two, the shelves are adjustable and supported on beech shelf pegs. Doors are hung on traditional drawn brass hinges, and drawers run on top quality metal runners. The drawer fronts are traditionally dovetailed to the drawer sides, the interior is a mixture of solid beech and beech faced ply. The cupboard facades are left 30mm long for scribing to the floor at the front and are on adjustable legs at the back. End panels are mdf, these and the facades are undercoated in Broken White eggshell. Glazed wall cupboards have painted boarded interiors with 4mm toughened glass as standard, which is held in with beads on the back. Customers can either buy ironmongery from us or supply their own.
